Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of recombinant human endostatin combined with trastuzumab in treatment of locally advanced breast cancer patients positive for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2).Methods A total of 102 HER2-positive patients with locally advanced breast cancer who received targeted therapy in the 904th Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the subjects and randomly divided into two groups. The control group received trastuzumab combined with chemotherapy, and the observation group was additionally treated with recombinant human endostatin on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, tumor marker levels, serological indicator levels, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was 74.51%(38/51),higher than 50.98%(26/51)in the control group(χ2=6.039,P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of carci-noembryonic antigen, carbohydrate antigen 125 and carbohydrate antigen 153 decreased in both groups;the levels of those indexes in the observation group were(79.32±9.27)ng·mL-1,(86.03±9.78)U·mL-1 and(96.35±13.32)U·mL-1,respectively,lower than(121.56±8.89)ng·mL-1,(98.35±11.32)U·mL-1 and(136.57±16.38)U·mL-1,respectively,in the control group(t=23.486,5.881,13.605,all P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of matrix metalloproteinase-9 and vascular endothelial growth factor decreased in both groups;the levels of those indexes in the observation group were(106.53±24.71)ng·mL-1 and(59.31±13.67)pg·mL-1,respectively,lower than(141.46±32.17)ng·mL-1 and(88.58±19.82)pg·mL-1,respectively,in the control group(t=6.149,8.682,both P<0.05).During the treatment period, adverse reactions such as bone marrow suppression, vomiting, diarrhea, liver function damage, rash and sinus tachycardia occurred in both groups, and there were no statistically significant differences(χ2=0.157,0.232,0.088,0.102,0.297,0.249,all P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of trastuzumab and recombinant human endostatin has definitive efficacy in treating HER2-positive patients with locally advanced breast cancer, reduces tumor marker levels and inhibits tumor growth, demonstrating high safety.
