Clinical efficacy of citicoline sodium combined with urapidil in the treatment of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of citicoline sodium combined with urapidil hydrochloride injection on neuro-logical function in patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.Methods A total of 147 patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage treated in the People's Hospital of Yingshang from January 2021 to May 2024 were retrospectively selected and di-vided into the citicoline group(citicoline sodium combined with urapidil hydrochlorid injection treatment,73 cases)and the ura-pidil group(urapidil hydrochloride injection treatment,74 cases)according to different treatment methods.After 14 days of treat-ment,the clinical therapeutic effect,hematoma and brain edema volume,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the citicoline group(86.30%,63/73)was higher than that of the urapidil group(71.62%,53/74)(χ2=4.759,P=0.029).After 14 days of treat-ment,hematoma volume and brain edema volume in the citicoline group and the urapidil group were(7.89±2.12)mL vs(9.52±2.18)mL,and(3.54±1.01)mL vs(6.35±1.82)mL,and these indicators in the citicoline group were lower than those in the urapidil group(t=4.595,11.553,both P<0.05).After 14 days of treatment,the NIHSS scores of the citicoline group and the urapidil group were(11.42±3.58)points and(16.47±3.88)points,respectively,and the score was significantly lower in the citicoline group than that in the urapidil group(t=8.198,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the citicoline group(9.59%,7/73)and the urapidil group(5.41%,4/74)(χ2=0.929,P=0.335).Conclusion Compared with urapidil hydrochloride injection monotherapy,citicoline sodium combined with urapidil hydrochloride injection demonstrates better clini-cal efficacy in the treatment of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage,protects the neurological function of patients,and has good safety.
