Establishment and application of drug use evaluation criteria for enoxaparin sodium

Abstract：Objective To establish the drug use evaluation(DUE)criteria for enoxaparin sodium so as to provide guidance for reasonable clinical use of enoxaparin sodium.Methods Based on the instructions of enoxaparin sodium,referring to relevant guidelines,consensus and literature,the DUE standard rules were established from three aspects:medication indication,medica-tion process and medication results.A retrospective analysis was performed.The medical records were collected in a proportion of 15%from the hospitalized patients who were treated with enoxaparin sodium in the Anqing Municipal Hospital in 2023 and the rational drug use was evaluated for them.Results The established enoxaparin sodium DUE standard contained three lev-els of indicators,i.e.3 first-level indicators,14 second-level indicators and 36 third-level indicators.A total of 240 medical records were included,of which 57.5%(138/240)fully met the DUE criteria.The main types of unreasonable drug use of enoxaparin so-dium in Anqing Municipal Hospital were inappropriate usage and dosage 26.25%(63/240),and inappropriate indications 5.42%(13/240).The patients who had adverse drug reactions accounted for 6.67%(16/240),which were mainly bleeding adverse events,including gastrointestinal bleeding,henaturia,hemoptysis,etc.Conclusion The established enoxaparin sodium DUE stan-dard has certain scientificity,practicability and feasibility,and the rational drug use management of enoxaparin sodium needs to be further strengthened.
