Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of oral estradiol/estradiol dydrogesterone tablets(femoston)on treatment of endometrial polyp patients after hysteroscopic cold knife resection and the impact on prognosis. Methods A prospective random-ized controlled trial was adopted.A total of 94 patients with endometrial polyps who visited the Gynecology Department of Anqing Second People's Hospital from July 2022 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups by random number table method, with 47 cases in each group. The control group received hysteroscopic cold knife resection alone and the research group was treated with oral femoston for 3 cycles after hysteroscopic cold knife resection. The therapeutic effects and the menstrual recovery, sex hormone levels and changes in endometrial thickness before and after treatment were compared and analyzed between the two groups. The recurrence rates were statistically analyzed after a 6-month follow-up.Results The overall clinical effective rate in the research group was 97.87%(46/47),higher than 82.98%(39/47)in the control group(χ2=4.424,P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of menstrual cycle, menstrual period, and amount of menstrual bleeding in the research group were(30.15±3.39)d,(4.62±0.39)d and(103.54±9.43)points,lower than(32.35±3.76)d,(5.24±0.47)d and(117.28±10.36)points in the control group, and there were significant differences between the two groups(t=2.979,6.960,6.724,all P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of endo-metrial thickness,estradiol(E2),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH)in the research group were(6.24±0.83)mm,(26.46±3.25)pg·mL-1,(6.49±0.53)mIU·mL-1 and(4.81±0.43)mIU·mL-1,respectively,lower than(7.67±0.95)mm,(31.74±3.69)pg·mL-1,(7.05±0.66)mIU·mL-1 and(5.06±0.58)mIU·mL-1 in the control group, and there were significant differences between the two groups(t=7.771,7.362,4.536,2.37,all P<0.05).The recurrence rate was 2.13%(1/47)in the research group, lower than 21.28%(10/47)in the control group(χ2=8.340,P<0.05).Conclusion Oral administration of femoston after hysteroscopic cold knife resection proves effective in treating endometrial polyps, which can regulate sex hormone levels and reduce recurrence rates.
