Efficacy of Shensongyangxin capsule combined with amiodarone in treatment of patients with coronary heart disease and ventricular arrhythmias and its impact on myocardial indicators

Abstract：Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of combined treatment with Shensongyangxin capsule and amiodarone on patients with coronary heart disease and ventricular arrhythmias(VA)and explore its impact on myocardial indica-tors.Methods A total of 116 patients with coronary heart disease and VA admitted to Baoji People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects.According to random number table method,they were divided into the observa-tion group(n=58)and the control group(n=58).Both groups of patients were given basic treatments such as diuretics,vasodilators,and anti-platelet aggregation agents.On this basis,the patients in the control group were treated with amiodarone and those in the observation group with Shensongyangxin capsule combined with amiodarone.Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,elec-trocardiogram indicators(corrected QT interval(QTc)and QRS duration),onset frequency of arrhythmias,myocardial injury markers(cardiac troponin I(cTnI),soluble growth stimulating gene protein 2(sST2)and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proB-NP)),and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,total traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,QRS duration,number of ventricular premature contractions,number of atrial premature contractions,number of premature contractions at atrioventricular junction,attack frequencies of burst atrial fibrillation,cTnI,sST2 and NT-proBNP levels in the observation group were(5.58±1.28)scores,(0.08±0.02)s,(1 289.69±211.25)times·24 h-1,(592.68±104.25)times·24 h-1,(89.58±21.25)times·24 h-1,(49.58±11.02)times·24 h-1,(0.53±0.19)ng·mL-1,(21.26±2.11)ng·mL-1 and(658.69±84.57)ng·L-1,which were lower and shorter than those in the control((8.27±1.58)scores,(0.09±0.03)s,(1 694.58±251.28)times·24 h-1,(816.58±124.58)times·24 h-1,(132.25±34.58)times·24h-1,(71.07±13.58)times·24 h-1,(0.71±0.24)ng·mL-1,(23.34±3.15)ng·mL-1 and(728.69±91.55)ng·L-1)(t=10.075,2.112,9.393,10.497,8.007,9.358,4.478,4.178,4.277,all P<0.05).QTc interval in the obser-vation group was(457.18±57.25)ms and it was longer than that in the control((421.28±54.58)ms)(t=3.457,P=0.001).The inci-dence of adverse reactions in the observation group and the control group was 15.52% (9/58)and 10.34% (6/58),respectively,showing no statistically significant difference(χ2=0.689,P=0.407).Conclusion Shensongyangxin capsule combined with amiodarone is markedly effective in the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease and VA since it can effectively improve clinical symptoms,QTc interval and QRS duration,significantly reduce the attack frequency of arrhythmias,and alleviate myocardial injury,but does not increase adverse effects.
