Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of modified Shenghua decoction combined with mifepristone on complete abortion rate and endometrial thickness of patients with incomplete medical abortion. Methods A total of 105 patients with incomplete medi-cal abortion who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to March 2023 were enrolled in the study and divided into three groups according to the random number table method. The conventional group(n=35)was treated with uterine curedilation, the Western medicine group(n=35)was treated with fepristone, and the combined group(n=35)was treated with modified Shenghua decoction combined with mifepristone. The complete miscarriage rate and endome-trial thickness were compared among the three groups. Results The complete miscarriage rate was 94.29%(33/35)in the combined group,97.14%(34/35)in the conventional group, both higher than 77.14%(27/35)in the Western medicine group(χ2=6.321,P=0.042).In terms of the time taken for symptom improvement, the vaginal bleeding time was(5.66±1.32)days in the combined group, shorter than((8.58±1.87)days)in the Western medicine group, but longer than((4.22±1.05)days)in the conventional group, and there was significant difference(F=81.707,P<0.05).The time of menstrual relapse was(31.45±4.02)days in the combined group, shorter than((35.68±4.17)days)in the Western medicine group and((37.44±4.86)days)in the conventional group, and the difference was statistical-ly significant(F=17.409,P<0.05).The endometrial thickness of the combined group was(6.11±1.97)mm,higher than((4.02±1.24)mm)of the conventional group and((4.85±1.62)mm)of the Western medicine group, and the difference was statistically significant(F=14.458,P<0.05).The total incidence of complications such as intrauterine adhesions and pelvic inflammatory disease was 5.71%(2/35)in the combined group,2.86%(1/35)in the Western medicine group, both lower than 22.86%(8/35)in the conventional group(χ2=6.321,P=0.042).Conclusion The use of modified Shenghua decoction combined with mifepristone can increase the rate of complete abortion in the treatment of parturients with incomplete medical abortion, shorten the time of vaginal bleeding, reduce the rate of recurettage, avoid the occurrence of complications related to curettage, and promote the increase of endometrial thickness.
