Efficacy of itopride combined with rabeprazole and bismuth aluminate in treatment of patients with reflux esophagitis

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of itopride combined with rabeprazole and bismuth aluminate in the treatment of patients with reflux esophagitis.Methods A total of 186 patients with reflux esophagitis who were treated in Baoding Second Hospital from April 2023 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects and divided into the control group and the obser-vation group by the simple random grouping method,with 93 in each group.The control group was treated with itopride,while the observation group received rabeprazole and bismuth aluminate on the basis of itopride.The clinical efficacy,symptom severity and attack frequency scores,symptom disappearance time,and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 94.62%(88/93),higher than 84.95%(79/93)in the control group(χ2=4.748,P<0.05).The clinical symptom severity and attack frequency scores were(5.86±1.17)points and(4.24±0.71)points in the observation group after the treatment,both lower than(8.35±1.22)points and(6.33±0.85)points in the control group(t=14.206,18.199,both P<0.05).The symptom disappearance time of acid reflux,stomach burning and chest pain in the observation group was(7.84±1.15)d,(6.03±0.72)d and(7.55±1.61)d respectively,all shorter than(11.12±1.38)d,(8.69±1.47)d and(11.23±1.39)d in the control group(t=17.609,15.672,16.685,all P<0.05).The incidences of adverse reactions in the observation and control groups were 4.30%(4/93)and 7.53%(7/93)respectively,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2=0.870,P>0.05).Conclusion Itopride combined with rabeprazole and bismuth aluminate has prominent curative effect on the treatment of patients with reflux esophagitis,which can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms,shorten the symptom disappearance time and promote the recovery of esophageal mucosa,with the safety favorable.
