Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of edaravone dexkanol combined with butylphthalide on treatment of pa-tients with progressive cerebral infarction(PCI)of perforator artery lesions. Methods A total of 104 patients with PCI of perforator artery lesions who were admitted to The 904 Hospital of PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from June 2022 to June 2024 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group was treated with butylphtha-lide and the observation group was additionally treated with edaravone dexkanol. The clinical efficacy, the NIHSS score,Barthel index, modified Rankin scale score,lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2),neuron-specific enolase(NSE),β-amyloid peptide 1-42(Aβ1-42)levels and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(84.62%vs 65.38%,χ2=5.128,P<0.05).The scores of NIHSS and modified Rankin scales of the two groups were lower after the treatment than before the treatment, the Barthel index was increased, the scores of NIHSS and modified Rankin scales of the observation group were lower than those of the control group((8.32±2.67)points vs(12.56±4.82)points,(1.85±0.31)points vs(2.27±0.48)points),and the Barthel index of the observation group was higher than that of the control group((61.74±5.38)points vs(54.63±6.15)points)(t=5.549,5.300,6.275,all P<0.05).The Lp-PLA2,NSE,and Aβ1-42 levels of the two groups were lower after the treatment than before the treat-ment;the levels of the above indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group((162.32±13.67)ng·mL-1 vs(178.56±15.82)ng·mL-1,(13.52±3.28)μg·L-1 vs(18.61±4.32)μg·L-1,(32.84±4.22)ng·L-1 vs(43.12±5.28)ng·L-1)(t=5.601,6.767,10.967,all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 9.62%in the observation group,7.69%in the control group, and there was no significant difference(χ2=0.122,P>0.05).Conclusion Edaravone dexkanol combined with butylphthalide has significant efficacy in the treatment of the patients with PCI of perforator artery lesions, which can improve the neurological function and living ability of patients, with high safety.
