Clinical observation on Xiaojin Pills combined with toremifene in the treatment of breast hyperplasia

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Xiaojin Pills combined with toremifene in the treatment of breast hy-perplasia.Methods A total of 66 patients with breast hyperplasia who were treated in Henan Armed Police Crops Hospital from August 2022 to August 2024 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group.The patients in the con-trol group were treated with toremifene and those in the observation group were treated with Xiaojin Pills on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,symptom improvement(breast pain,breast lump diameter,breast gland thickness),serum sex hormones(progesterone(P),prolactin(PRL),estradiol(E2))levels before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was 93.94%(31/33)in the observation group,higher than 75.76%(25/33)in the control group(χ2=4.243,P<0.05).Compared with those before treatment,the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,breast mass di-ameter,and breast gland thickness after treatment were reduced in both groups,and the improvement in the observation group(respec-tively,(2.32±0.67)points,(1.03±0.28)cm,(2.35±0.32)cm)was better than that of the control group(respectively,(3.56±0.82)points,(1.61±0.32)cm,(2.57±0.38)cm)(t=6.727,7.836,2.544,all P<0.05).After treatment,P levels increased in both groups,and PRL and E2 levels decreased in both groups.The P level in the observation group((0.73±0.14)ng·mL-1)was higher than the control group((0.62±0.12)ng·mL-1),and the PRL and E2 levels in the observation group(respectively,(23.42±2.37)μg·mL-1,(71.87±9.32)pg·mL-1)were lower than the control group(respectively,(27.87±3.68)μg·mL-1,(77.61±10.68)pg·mL-1)(t=3.427,5.840,2.326,all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 12.12%(4/33)in the observation group and 9.09%(3/33)in the control group,showing no sig-nificant difference between the two groups(χ2=0.000,P=1.000).Conclusion Xiaojin Pills combined with toremifene has clear effi-cacy in treating patients with breast hyperplasia.It can effectively improve symptoms,regulate sex hormone levels,and has good safety.
