Clinical evaluation of shensong yangxin capsule combined with sakubactril valsartan in treatment of senile chronic heart failure

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of shensong yangxin capsule combined with sakubactril valsartan in elderly patients with chronic heart failure.Methods A total of 104 elderly patients with chronic heart failure admitted to Guangde Hospi-tal of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to September 2024 were included in this study and divided into the valsartan group(treated with sakubactril)and shensong yangxin group(treated with shensong yangxin capsule combined with sakubactril valsartan)by double-blind and block randomization,with 52 in each group.Three and 2 cases dropped out in the valsartan group and the shensong yangxin group,respectively,to result in final inclusion of 49 patients in the final valsartan group and 50 in the shensong yangxin group.The efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions,and cardiac function parameters such as the level of N-terminal forebrain natriuretic peptide,left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter and left ventricular short axis shortening rate before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The quality of life of the two groups was assessed by the Min-nesota heart dysfunction quality of life scale before and after treatment,and the exercise endurance of the two groups was determined by the 6-minute walking test.Results The total effective rate of the shensong yangxin group was 98.00%(49/50),higher than that of the valsartan group(83.67%(41/49))(χ2=6.146,P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate was 2.00%in the shensong yangxin group and 4.08%in the valsartan group(χ2=0.000,P>0.05).After treatment,the n-terminal forebrain natriopeptide level in the shensong yangx-in group was(1 094.62±88.52)pmol·L﹣1,which was lower than that in the valsartan group((1 352.34±96.23)pmol·L﹣1)(t=13.873,P<0.05).The left ventricular ejection fraction was(45.23±3.12)%in shensong yangxin group and(41.52±2.99)%in valsartan group,(t=6.039,P<0.05).The left ventricular short axis shortening rate was(35.59±2.85)%in shensong yangxin group and(31.65±3.00)%in valsartan group(t=6.701,P<0.05).The end-tensioning inner diameter of the shensong yangxin group was(47.16±3.75)mm,and that of the valsartan group was(50.22±4.41)mm(t=3.722,P<0.05).The scores of Minnesota heart dysfunction quality of life scale was(25.92±2.69)points in shensong yangxin group and(33.26±2.85)points in the valsartan group(t=13.180,P<0.05).The 6-minute walking test was(540.75±20.56)m in the shensong yangxin group and(486.72±19.55)m in the valsartan group(t=13.395,P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of shensong yangxin capsule with sakubactril valsartan in elderly patients with chronic heart failure has a significant therapeutic effect since it can better help patients recover and is safe and reliable.
