Effect of baofukang suppository and lactobacillus live bacteria on postoperative cervical intraepithelial neoplasia

Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy of baofukang suppository combined with lactobacillus live bacteria in treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)after cervical circular electrotomy(LEEP)and its impact on high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)infection.Methods A total of 84 women with CIN who received targeted treatment in Hefei BOE Hos-pital from June 2020 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects and divided into 2 groups.In the control group,42 women received vaginal lactobacillus live capsule after the first postoperative menstrual period.In the study group,the other 42 women were supplemented with baofukang suppository.The clinical efficacy and duration of clinical symptom remission as well as serum levels of inflammatory factors and HPV viral load before and after treatment were determined.Meanwhile,the occurrence of adverse reactions was recorded.Results The total effective rate of study group(78.57%)was higher than that of the control(54.76%)(χ2=5.357,P<0.05).After treatment,the normal duration of vaginal secretions,contact bleeding duration and wound healing dura-tion of the study group((8.13±2.14)d,(6.24±1.33)d,(21.74±2.35)d,respectively)were shorter than those of the control((10.25±2.36)d,(8.25±1.25)d,(24.17±2.38)d)(t=4.313,7.137,4.708,all P<0.05).The CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels were reduced in the 2 groups after treatment.They were lower in the study group((1.58±0.36)mg·mL-1,(1.07±0.24)ng·L-1,(5.38±1.23)ng·L-1)than in the control((1.97±0.35)mg·mL-1,(1.25±0.21)ng·L-1,(7.47±1.58)ng·L-1)(t=-5.034,-3.658,-6.765,all P<0.05).HPV viral load decreased in both groups after treatment,and it was lower in the study group((21.56±5.12)×103 copies·mL-1)than in the control((24.78±5.69)×103 copies·mL-1)(t=-2.726,P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions was 16.67%(7/42)in the study group and 11.90%(5/42)in the control,showing no obvious difference between two groups(χ2=0.389,P=0.533).Conclusion Baofu-kang suppository combined with live lactobacillus capsule has high efficacy in reducing HR-HPV infection after LEEP operation in CIN patients since it can shorten the time of clinical symptom remission after LEEP operation,reduce serum inflammatory factor lev-els and HR-HPV viral load and is of high safety.
