Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy of cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium in the treatment of elderly patients with COPD complicated with pulmonary infection and its effect on coagulation function. Methods A total of 104 elder-ly paitents with COPD complicated with pulmonary infection admitted to The 987th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force from January 2022 to January 2024 were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups by random number table. In the con-trol group,52 patients(30 males and 22 females aged(69.43±7.25)years)were treated with ceftazidime. In the observation group, the 52 patients including 28 males and 24 females aged(69.72±7.19)years were treated with cefoperazone and sulbactam sodium. The clinical efficacy, coagulation function index and lung function index were compared between the two groups and the adverse reactions were analyzed. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.38%(47/52),which was higher than that of the control group(71.15%)(37/52)(χ2=6.190,P=0.013).After treatment, the prothrombin time, clotting time, and activated partial thromboplastin time in the observation group and control group were(14.94±2.15)s,(18.29±2.74)s,and(44.32±5.31)s,respectively,which were higher than those before treatment(12.75±2.12)s,(15.51±2.02)s,and(32.10±3.53)s,respectively.The level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The forced expiratory volume in one sec-ond,forced vital capacity, and FEV1/FVC levels in the observation group and control group were(1.59±0.25)L,(2.24±0.34)L,(78.32±8.31)%,(1.38±0.26)L,(1.97±0.28)L,(65.32±7.76)%,respectively,and they were higher than those before treatment(1.14±0.22)L,(1.62±0.23)L,(61.32±7.19)%,(1.17±0.23)L,(1.59±0.25)L,(60.47±7.47)%,respectively,and the level in the obser-vation group was higher than that in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium have good clinical efficacy in elderly COPD patients with pulmonary infection since it can effectively improve the pulmonary function.Al-though it has a certain effect on coagulation function,it is still controllable.
