Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of compound huangbai solution combined with microwave irradiation ther-apy on postoperative pain status, wound healing and expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2(VEGFR-2)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in granulation tissue of patients undergoing anorectal surgery. Methods A total of 134 patients receiving anorectal surgery in Leshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2022 to August 2024 were enrolled in this study.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the compound group and microwave group, with 67 in each group. The patients in the microwave group were treated with microwave irradiation after surgery while those in the compound group received compound huangbai solution+microwave irradiation after surgery. The clinical efficacy, wound healing status, pain status(visual analogue scale(VAS))on day 1,7 and 14 after surgery and expression levels of VEGFR-2 and VEGF in granulation tissue on day 1 and 7 after surgery were compared between the two groups.Meanwhile, the adverse reactions were counted. Results On day 14 after surgery, the total effective rate in the compound group was 95.52%(64/67)and its was higher than that of 85.07%(57/67)in the microwave group(χ2=4.174,P<0.05).The wound granulation color scores on day 7 and 14 after surgery in the compound group were(2.04±0.33)points and(0.48±0.06)points and they were lower than those of(2.46±0.40)and(0.56±0.07)points in the microwave group(t=6.630,7.103,both P<0.001).The wound area scores in the compound group on day 7 and 14 after surgery were(3.21±0.51)points and(1.02±0.20)points,which were lower than those of(3.49±0.55)points and(1.33±0.31)points in the microwave group(t=3.056,7.100,both P<0.05).The edema regression time and wound heal-ing time in the compound group were(7.65±1.08)d and(15.23±2.14)d and they were shorter than those of(9.12±1.28)d and(18.25±2.42)d in the microwave group(t=7.184,7.652,both P<0.001).The VAS scores in the compound group on day 7 and 14 after sur-gery were(2.32±0.47)points and(1.28±0.23)points,which were lower than those of(2.90±0.54)points and(1.74±0.34)points in the microwave group(t=6.632,9.173,both P<0.001).On day 7 after surgery, the expression levels of VEGFR-2 and VEGF in granulation tissue in the compound group were(183.38±16.82)pg·mL-1 and(160.21±14.70)pg·mL-1 and they were higher than those of(168.65±15.47)pg·mL-1 and(145.95±13.39)pg·mL-1 in the microwave group(t=5.276,5.870,both P<0.001).The inci-dence of adverse reactions was 7.47%(5/67)and 4.47%(3/67)in the compound group and microwave group(χ2=0.133,P>0.05).Conclusion Compound huangbai solution combined with microwave therapy can significantly improve the postoperative clinical efficacy of patients with anorectal surgery, accelerate the wound healing, relieve the pain, and enhance the expression levels of VEG-FR-2 and VEGF in granulation tissue.Furthermore,it is of good safety.
