Efficacy of dalpiciclib combined with anastrozole in treatment of postmenopausal hormone receptor positive breast cancer and its effect on markers of cell behavior regulation

Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy of dalpiciclib combined with anastrozole in the treatment of postmenopausal hormone receptor-positive(HR+)breast cancer and its effect on serum levels of annexin A2(ANXA2)and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2/neu).Methods A total of 104 female patients with postmenopausal HR+breast cancer admitted to Zhangjiakou First Hospital from May 2022 to March 2024 were included in this study and divided into the single-drug group(n=52)and the combined-drug group(n=52)according to the treatment regimen.The patients in the single-drug group were treated with anastrozole and those in the combined-drug group with dalpiciclib and anastrozole.The clinical efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions,maximum diameter of the tumor,quality of life and serum indexes were compared before and after treatment between the two groups.Results The maximum tumor diameter,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),cancer antigens 15-3(CA15-3),ANXA2,and HER-2/neu in the combined-drug group after the treatment were(2.54±0.61)cm,(14.71±3.80)ng·mL-1,(40.66±7.92)U·mL-1,(23.42±6.05)ng·mL-1,(15.17±4.15)ng·mL-1,which were lower than those of(3.02±0.87)cm,(16.77±3.85)ng·mL-1,(46.34±8.49)U·mL-1,(26.57±6.16)ng·mL-1,(18.29±4.23)ng·mL-1 in the single-drug group,showing statistically significant differences(t=2.485,2.271,2.872,2.173,3.135,all P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of functional assessment of breast cancer therapy(FACT-B)in the com-bined-drug group was(79.28±11.32)points,which was higher than that of(63.75±10.69)points in the single-drug group and the difference was statistically significant(t=6.070,P<0.05).The objective response rate(ORR)of the combined-drug group was higher than that of the single-drug group(82.61%(19/23)vs 60.49%(49/81),χ2=3.871,P<0.05).When contrasting the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups,no statistically significant difference was found(43.48%(10/23)vs 25.93%(21/81),χ2=2.638,P>0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of dalpiciclib combined with anastrozole in the treatment of postmenopausal HR+breast can-cer is precise since it can effectively counteract the tumor proliferation and invasion,improve the quality of life level and possesses a certain degree of safety.
