Abstract:Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of terbutaline combined with montelukast sodium in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods:A total of 90 patients treated in our hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were enrolled in this study and randomized into control group and observation group, with 45 in each. The patients in the two groups were treated with routine treatment and combination therapy, respectively. The lung functional indexes, inflammatory factors, and other indicators were compared between the 2 groups. Results:The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control(97.8%vs 86.6%)(χ2 = 3.980,P = 0.001).After treatment, the forced expiratory volume, forced vital capacity, and FEV1/FVC in the observation group were(2.79±0.4)L,(2.89±0.78)L,and(79.19±7.99)L,respectively,which were higher than those in the control(2.18±0.99)L,(2.18±0.38),and(60.59±5.90)L(P<0.05).The arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and pH levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)levels were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).The inflammatory cytokine index and monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)index in the observation group were obviously lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:In the treatment of acute exacerbation of COPD,the combination of terbutaline and montelukast sodium has a significant therapeutic effect.
