Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of hybutimibe combined with atorvastatin and atorvastatin monotherapy in treatment of the hypercholesterolaemia patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Methods:A Markov model was established based on the report of the phase Ⅲ clinical trial of hybutimibe and the published literature, with a study timeframe 30 years, and the economical efficiency of the hybutimibe combined with atorvastatin group was evaluated by the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio(ICER),and the reliability of the results was verified by means of univariate sensitivity analysis and probabilistic sensitivity analysis. Results:Compared with the atorvastatin monotherapy group, the 30-year health output of the hybutimibe combined with atorvastatin group was increased by 0.37 quality-adjusted life-years(QALYs)while the cost was increased by 28269 yuan, with an ICER of 76756 yuan/QALY,lower than our per capita GDP,and it is an economically viable option, and the resulted were verified by the sensitivity analyses. Conclusion:Compared with the atorvastatin monotherapy group, the regimen of hybutimibe in combination with atorvastatin has more advantages in cost-effectiveness for the treatment of the hypercholesterolaemia patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases.
