Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical curative effect of double-salt collunarium for nasal wash and its influence on serum inflammatory factors and scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)in chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)after sinus endoscopy. Methods:A total of 112 patients with CRS undergoing sinus endoscopy in our hospital from March 2020 to May 2023 were enrolled in this study.According to random double-blind method, they were divided into the control group and observation group, with 56 in each. After surgery, patients in the control group were given routine treatment(300 mL of 3%hypertonic saline),while those in the observation group were additionally treated with double-salt collunarium(iodine-free sea salt + sodium bicarbonate)for nasal wash. The curative effect in the two groups was compared. The levels of serum inflammatory factors, scores of sinonasal outcome test-20(SNOT-20)and VAS in the 2 groups were analyzed before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, total response rate was higher in the observation group than in the control(94.64%vs 82.14%,P<0.05).The scores of VAS[(5.84±1.89)points,(3.98±1.26)points]at 1 month and 2 months after treatment,SNOT-20 score[(2.77±0.41)points],levels of IL-5[(3.28±0.94)ng·mL-1]and IL-6[(85.12±11.24)ng·L-1]L in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control[(6.71±1.64)points,(5.12±1.17)points,(4.45±0.72)points,(5.78±1.23)ng·mL-1,(60.84±5.20)ng·L-1],the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During treatment, there was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(12.50%vs 5.36%,P>0.05).Conclusion:Double-salt collunarium for nasal wash can significantly promote curative effect, improve pain symptoms and quality of life, and stabilize levels of serum inflammatory factors in patients with CRS after sinus endoscopy.
