Preventive effect of ergostigmine combined with carboprost tromethamine on postpartum hemorrhage

Abstract：Objective:To explore the therapeutic effficay of ergometrine combined with carboprost tromethamine injection for post-caesarean haemorrhage after caesarean section for placenta praevia.Methods:A total of 85 patients admitted to our hospital March 2019 to from May 2023 who had postoperative haemorrhage after caesarean section for placenta praevia were enrolled in this study and were divided into the study group(ergometrine combined with carbaprost tromethamine injection,n = 36)and the control group(carbaprost tromethamine injection,n = 49)according to the drug treatment mode,The patients in both groups were contineously treated for 3 to 5 days.The difference in the therapeutic efficacy was compared between the 2 groups.Results:After treatment,the clinical total effective rate of the study group(91.7%)was higher than that of the control(71.4%)(χ2 = 5.313,P = 0.021).Meanwhile,the study group had less bleeding at 2 hours postpartum,24 hours postpartum,lochia duration,hospital stay,and hemostasis time as compared to the control(t = 6.251,8.266,3.733,3.202,5.391,all P<0.05).After treatment,the PT,APTT,FIB,and hemoglobin levels in both groups improved,and the improvement in the study group was more significant(t = 11.262,11.716,10.089,5.915,P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the 2 groups after treatment(χ2 = 0.607,P = 0.436).Conclusion:The ergometrine combined with carboprost tromethamine injection has good therapeutic efficacy for postoperative haemorrhage after caesarean section for placenta praevia.
