Abstract:An IgA nephropathy patient after operation of colon carcinoma with microsatellite high instability (MSI-H) was hospitalized for further treatment. Clinical pharmacists suggested postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy of XELOX regimen for him. It was also suggested that kidney function and hematological toxicity should be closely monitored druing treatment. Physicians adopted the suggestions of clinical pharmacist. XELOX adjuvant chemotherapy regimen was given to him. The course of therapy was uneventful and there was no severe adverse reactions. It implied that clinicians should carefully weigh the merits and demerits in anti-tumor therapy. Appropriate chemotherapy regimen should be chosen in order to ensure effective, safe and rational drug use for patient.
