Abstract:Objective: To analyze the utilization of salvianolate injection in our hospital and the regularity and characteristics of ADR/ADE associated with salvianolate injection, in order to provide references for clinical rational drug use. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 8008 cases using salvianolate injection from January 2016 to August 2017. The indication, duration of treatment, dosage, solvent, amount of solvent, drug combination, flushing tubes, drop rate and 21 ADRs/ADEs associated with salvianolate injection from the national adverse drug reaction monitoring center were analyzed. Results: Among the 8008 cases, there were 4796 cases (59.89%) without indications, 56 cases (0.70%) with inappropriate dosage, 1433 cases (17.89%) with inappropriate solvent and solvent volume, 1602 cases (20.00%) with combination or alternate use, 7242 cases (90.43%) with inappropriate duration, 3332 cases (41.61%) without flushing tubes. Among the 21 ADR/ADE cases, there were 2 cases (9.52%) without indications, 4 cases (19.05%) with unsuitable amount of solvent, 18 cases (85.71%) without flushing tubes and 21 cases (100.00%) with inappropriate drop rate. Conclusion: Irrational drug use is one of the main reasons for ADR/ADE, salvianolate injection should be used in strict accordance with the drug instructions.
