Abstract:Objective: To explore the characteristics of sleep disorders caused by drugs in order to provide references for rational drug use in clinic. Methods: Literature on drug-induced sleep disorders were searched through databases including CNKI (1979 – 2017), Wanfang database (1990 – 2017) and VIP database (1989 – 2017). A total of 101 cases reported in 68 literature were enrolled and retrospectively anaylzed according to basic situation of patients, administration route, occurrence time of sleep disorder, kind of suspect drugs, etc. Results: Among the 101 cases, male patients were more than female patients, the ratio of male to female was 1.24 : 1. Most reported cases (59 cases, 58.42%) were in middle age (20 – 59 years old). Sleep disorders were mainly caused by antimicrobial agents (35 cases, 34.65%). A total of 66 cases (65.35%) with drug-induced sleep disorders were orally administrated. And there were 62 cases (62.00%) developed sleep disorders on the first day of administration. All the 101 cases (100.00%) were fully recovery or improved. Conclusion: There were many kinds of drugs which could lead to sleep disorder. Clinical staff should be aware of drug-induced sleep disorders. For the high-risk population and the high-risk drugs, strengthened precautions must be taken against drug-induced sleep disorders.
