Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Xingnaojing injection in patients with severe sepsis in ICU. Methods: It was a prospective randomized controlled study. A total of 80 cases with severe sepsis in ICU of our hospital from 1 January, 2016 to 1 January, 2017 were randomly divided into control group treated with basic therapy and study group treated with basic therapy and Xingnaojing injection. Each group had 40 patients. Effective rate of therapy, temperature, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) scores, numbers of blood neuron-specific enolase (NSE), C-reactive protein (CRP), TNF-α, IL-10, CD3+T cells, CD4+T cells, CD4+/CD8+cells and NK cells, hemodynamic index before and after therapy were collected and analyzed. Results: After the therapy, GCS scores in study groups were significantly higher compared with the control group (P < 0.05). Temperature and blood NSE, CRP in study group were obviously lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). Study group had significantly more improvement in hemodynamic and inflammation index compared to control group (P < 0.05). About 48 hours after therapy, numbers of blood CD3+cells, CD4+T cells and NK cells in study group were obviously higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion:Xingnaojing injection combined with conventional treatment could improve hemodynamics disorders and enhance immunologic function of patients with severe sepsis.
