Abstract:Objective: To real-time monitoring adverse drug reactions caused by cinepazide maleate in order to explore the application of real-time monitoring mode of automatic monitoring system. Methods: From August 1, 2017 to October 31, 2017, the self-developed specific system automatically monitored the hospitalized patients' who received cinepazide maleate (two specifications, 320 mg/10 mL and 80 mg/2 mL), automatically tracked 5 adverse drug reaction signals and gave alarm everyday. Every alarm cases submitted by system were evaluated by investigators, and retrospective monitor was also preformed on the same patients group. Results: A total of 1395 patients were automatically monitored. The incidence of thrombocytopenia, hemoglobin reduction, leukopenia, liver injury and kidney injury was 0.22%, 0.43%, 0.29%, 0.65% and 1.08% respectively. There were totally 45 cases with abnormal indicators changes, among which 10 cases developed to mild ADR and 1 case developed to severe ADR. Data from real-time monitoring mode, retrospective monitoring mode and early large sample monitoring mode were consistent. Conclusion: Data from real-time monitoring mode is genuine and believable. The real-time monitoring mode showed good monitoring performance and stability. It could provide early warning signal and development as soon as possible. It could be a practical tool for clinical pharmacists to improve the level of pharmaceutic care, monitoring and evaluating ADRs of the focus drugs.
