Analysis on 2621 cases of ADR reports in our hospital from 2013 to 2016

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the regularities and characteristics of adverse drug reaction (ADR) which occurred in our hospital, and reduce the risk of clinical drug use. Methods: A total of 2621 ADR reports in our hospital from 2013 to 2016 were collected retrospectively. The data in respect of gender and age of patients, routes of administration, categories of drugs, systems and organs involved in ADR, and the reporters were analyzed statistically. Results: The constituent ratio of the ADR occurred in patients over 70 years old was the highest (19.99%); intravenous administration was the most in respect of administration routes (68.75%);anti-infection agents (22.47%) occupied the highest proportion in categories of drugs, followed by anti-tumor drugs (17.05%);quinolones were the major antibacterials causing ADR (22.84%); gastrointestinal damages in ADR cases were common (24.78%);doctors were the major reporters (98.36%). Conclusion: Our hospital should enhance the ADR monitoring and encourage clinical pharmacists to play their own advantages for promoting rational drug use in clinic.
