Study on the establishment and applicability of microbial limit test for two kinds of sulfur resorcinol lotion

Abstract：Objective: To establish the microbial limit test for two kinds of sulfur resorcinol lotion according with Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition). Methods: With the instructions from Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition), the samples of two kinds of lotions were treated by membrane filtration, 5 species of bacteria strain were used for microbial counting inspection and control bacteria inspection. And the applicability was verified by sampling inspection. Results: Using membrane-filter method, 100 mL sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution each time was used to wash filter membrane for 3 times, the recovery ratio of 5 kinds of validation strains in the microbial counting tests were 0.5 – 2.0 in all batches, and recoveries of bacteria were higher than 70% for two kinds of sulfur resorcinol lotion. In control bacteria inspection, the strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa can be detected respectively.Conclusion:The microbial limit test for two kinds of sulfur resorcinol lotion can meet the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition).
