One case of allergic shock suspected to be caused by monosialotetrahexosylganglioside sodium

Abstract:One 63-year-old female patient was hospitalized due to intermittent pain of right eye for 1 year accompanied with aggravated blurred vision for 20 days. Previously, the left eye had no light perception for more than 1 year, and the history of drug and food allergy was denied. On the first day after admission, the patient was treated with intraocular pressure drop, nutrition nerve and blood activation, and on the second day, the patient was given intravenous infusion of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside sodium, 2 minutes later, the patient suffered from mouth numbness, lips cyanosis, chest and abdominal pain, and shortness of breath. Airway intubation, assisted respiration, chest cardiac compression, intravenous adrenaline injection, dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection, intravenous drip dopamine injection, sodium bicarbonate injection were performed, after 1 hour and 40 minutes of rescue, the patient failed to return to normal vital signs yet, and was announced to be dead clinically.
