Evaluation and analysis of adverse drug reactions in pharmacist's perspective

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the adverse reactions reported by departments in our hospital during the recent 5 years and provide references for safe medication of patients. Methods: Adverse reaction reports in recent 5 years were monitored by adverse reaction monitoring and management system. A total of 765 cases were retrospectively analyzed in respect of patients' age, sex, ADR type and so on. Results: In 765 cases, most of the drugs involved were anti-infective drugs, tumor drugs, nutritional support drugs and adjuvant drugs for liver diseases, the number of severe and new ADR cases were 18 and 2 respectively including 12 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine injections, ADRs occurred in a short time and more offen occurred in the elderly. Conclusion: Elderly and women are at high risk of adverse events, meanwhile, we should be alert to the new adverse reactions caused by anti-human T lymphocyte, porcine immunoglobulin and oxaliplatin.
