Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the rationality and safety of sodium potassium magnesium calcium and glucose injection in clinical use in our hospital, and provide reference for rational drug use. Methods: By using hospital information system (HIS), a retrospective study was conducted in 100 patients who were treated with sodium potassium magnesium calcium and glucose injection in our hospital during October 1 to December 31 in 2015 and analyzed in respect of the indication, usage and dosage, compatibility regimen, adverse reactions, etc. Results: There were 2254 patients who were treated with sodium potassium magnesium calcium and glucose injection during the investigating period. We selected 100 cases via random allocation and evaluated the rationality of the drug use. Only 17 cases had clear indications. There were contraindications in 4 patients, and 13 cases had potential medicine incompatibility. Conclusion: The unreasonable uses of sodium potassium magnesium calcium and glucose injection included no indication for drug utilization, incompatibility, contraindication, etc. It is suggested that the medical institution should strengthen the administration and supervision, in order to avoid excessive and irrational drug use and reduce the cost of patients.
