Literature analysis of 110 cases of poisoning adverse events induced by Aconitum brachypodum Diels

Abstract:Objective: To analyze and summarize the features of the poisoning events induced by Aconitum brachypodum Diels. Methods: A statistical analysis was retrospectively investigated on 110 cases of poisoning adverse events retrieved from CNKI, VIP, Wanfang database. Results: A total of 20 literature were collected including 110 patients in this study. Toxic symptoms mainly involved in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular system damage (52.15%), nervous system damage (20.86%) and digestive system damage (14.29%). All the poisoning events were complicated by one or more arrhythmia, mainly ventricular arrhythmia (48.72%). In all the cases, 84 cases were cured, 20 cases improved and 4 cases died. Conclusion: There exist risks of using Aconitum brachypodum Diels.Therefore, the use of Aconitum brachypodum Diels should be regulated in case of the recurrence of poisoning events.
