Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effects of recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (rhBNP) combined with dopamine in elderly patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), and its effects on cardiac function and serum inflammatory factors. Methods: A total of 90 patients with CHF were randomly divided into two groups, with 45 cases in each group. In addition to conventional treatment, the control group was treated with nitroglycerin and dopamine, while the observation group was treated with rhBNP combined with dopamine. The clinical efficacy, cardiac function and serum inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups after the treatments. Results: The difference in total effective rate was statistically significant (95.3% in observation group and 78.6% in control group, respectively; χ2 = 5.308, P < 0.05). After the treatment, the LVEF and CI in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of CRP and IL-6 in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), while IL-10 was higher in the observation group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide combined with dopamine may exert an excellent short-term effect in elderly CHF patients. It helps to improve heart function and reduce serum inflammatory factors.
