Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of simvastatin combined with trimetazidine on Caspase-1 and IL-18 of CHD patients. Methods: A total of 80 cases with CHD in our hospital from May 2013 to May 2015 were randomly divided into the control group (40 cases) and the observation group (40 cases) based on random digits table. Simvastatin was applied in the control group while simvastatin combined with trimetazidine was applied in the observation group. The therapeutic effect, blood lipid parameters and levels of Caspase-1 and IL-18 before and after the treatment in the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate (92.50%) of the observation group was obviously higher than that (70.00%) of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, blood lipid parameters of two groups were improved in varying degrees. Levels of TC, TG and LDL-C of the observation group were obviously lower than those of the control group, while the level of HDL-C of the observation group were obviously higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there were no obvious differences about the serum levels of Caspase-1 and IL-18 between two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of Caspase-1 and IL-18 of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were much lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). Linear relationship showed IL-18 and Caspase-1 had significantly positive correlation (r = 0.559, P < 0.001). Conclusion:Simvastatin combined with trimetazidine had significant efficacy in the treatment of coronary heart disease with the improvement of blood lipid parameters. It can decrease the levels of Caspase-1 and IL-18. It is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
