Abstract:Objective: To investigate the application status of toxic drugs and narcotic drugs in the outpatient clinic of our hospital and discuss its rationality. Methods: The data of prescriptions in HIS were collected from July 1 to September 30 in 2015. The defined daily dose (DDD), frequency of drug use (DDDs) and drug utilization index (DUI) and other parameters were calculated and discussed, the related information of the corresponding departments and patients was analyzed. Results: Among the two toxic drugs and ten narcotic drugs, DUI of six kinds were less than 1. While oxycodone hydrochloride prolonged-release tablets (20 mg), codeine tablets (30 mg) and oxycodone hydrochloride prolonged-release tablets (5 mg) displayed lower DUI, indicating their prescriptions were more reasonable. Conclusion: The use of drugs in our hospital during the sampling period tends to be reasonable.
