Abstract:Objective: To study the characteristics of adverse drug reaction (ADR) in our hospital, in order to provide references for clinical safe and reasonable use of medication. Methods:With the retrospective method, all the 997 ADR reports were extracted from our hospital from January 2012 to December 2015. The data in respect of patients' age, drug types, route of administration, systems/organs involved in ADR and clinical manifestations were analyzed statistically. Results: Among the 997 ADR reports, the number of male patients and female patients were 472 cases (accounting for 47.35%) and 525 cases (accounting for 52.65%), respectively. The proportion of patients who were more than 45 years old was 64.30%, and anti-infective agents ADRs accounted for 21.66%. The majority administration route was intravenous infusion (64.59%). The majority systems and organs involved in ADR were skin (32.50%) and nervous system (26.37%). Conclusion: The multiple factors may lead to high frequency of ADR. Consequently, great attentions should be paid to the rational use of various drugs and monitoring of ADRs for reducing the incidence of ADR.
