Pharmaceutical care on a patient with primary hyperparathyroidism

Abstract:One 79-year-old female patient with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and other diseases was hospitalized for primary hyperparathyroidism. After hospitalization, the patient received the reducing blood calcium, controlling blood pressure, hypoglycemic therapy and lipid-regulating therapy. Clinical pharmacists participated in the treatment, and monitored the potential adverse drug reactions of zoledronic acid injection. At the same time, according to the patient's condition, clinical pharmacists suggested optimizing the regimen of blood pressure controlling and hypoglycemic program. After 12 days, the disease made rapid progress and the patient was discharged.
