Application of quality control circle in promoting work efficiency of PIVAS in inpatient pharmacy

Abstract：Objective:To promote the work efifciency of PIVAS in inpatient pharmacy in order to enhance the guarantee ability.Methods:Nine steps such as the analysis of situation, drawing up goals, setting strategy and so on were carried out according to the basic approach of quality control circle (QCC). The contents of each node were recorded and evaluated.Results:After the development of QCC, the average time cost was decreased from 55.36 s to 24.16 s (decrease by 56.35%) for each case of medicines' dispensing, checking, labeling and re-checking.Conclusion:With the application of QCC, pharmacists' spontaneous ability of analyzing and solving problems can be improved. The QCC is an effective method to improve the guarantee ability of pharmacy.
