Abstract:Objective:To explore the regularity and characteristics of ADRs induced by allopurinol. Methods:Based on the CHKD and Wanfang database (2000–2015), a total of 95 literature about allopurinol-induced ADRs were collected and analyzed statistically in respect of patients' gender, age, original disease and allergic history, route of administration, systems/organs involved in ADR and clinical manifestations. Results:A total of 114 cases of allopurinol ADRs were collected. About 80 cases involved skin lesions damage. About 10 cases involved digestive system damage. The earliest ADR occurred within 8 hours after administration, while the latest ADR occurred 2 months later after administration. About 13 patients died, 95 cases improved by withdrawal or treatment. Conclusion:ADRs induced by allopurinol were complicated and had various symptoms caused by different reasons. We should pay more attention to allopurinol-induced ADRs.
