Application analysis of analgesics for cancer pain in the pain standardization wards

Abstract：Objective:To investigate and analyze the application of analgesics for patients with cancer pain in a grade 3 and ifrst-class hospital, in order to provide references and suggestions for rational use of analgesics in clinical practice.Methods:With retrospective method, the data of analgesics used for inpatients with cancer pain in medical oncology from 2013 to 2015 were calculated statistically in respect of the total amount, the total consumption sum and DDDs, and then the rationality of use of analgesics was evaluated.Results: DDDs and the sales amount of morphine sustained release tablets ranked the ifrst place during 3 years, and the consumption was growing every year. The consumption of pethidine injection declined year by year. The non-invasive delivery methods were selected more and more.Conclusion: The use of the analgesics for cancer pain in the pain standardization wards was in line with the three step analgesic ladder recommended by WHO, while further details management in terms of rational drug use should be strengthened.
