Abstract:Objective: To understand the situation and clinical features of urinary system adverse reactions and events induced by etimicin, and provide reference for rational drug use in clinic. Methods: The adverse reaction reports of etimicin were collected from Beijing adverse reaction center during January 2010 to December 2014, and the dosage, occurrence, symptoms and the outcomes of the urinary system adverse reactions induced by etimicin were statistically analyzed. Results: A total of 746 adverse reactions were collected, of which the urinary system adverse reactions were 14 cases (1.9%). The longest time about ADR occurred were 18 days after administration continuously, the median time were 4.5 days. Adverse reactions symptoms of urinary system induced by etimicin included oliguria, hematuria, increased creatinine, elevated blood urea nitrogen, etc. Three cases were diagnosed as acute renal failure. There were seven cases of serious adverse reactions. Conclusion: Etimicin can cause urinary system adverse effects. Severe reactions can lead to renal failure. The elderly or male patients had higher incidence rate. Medication should be considered based on the results of bacteriological, patient's age and other comorbidities. During the drug administration, the renal function and drug blood concentration should be monitored to reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.
