One case of anaphylactic shock inducedby Shenxiong glucose injection

Abstract:One 40-year-old male patient who suffered from lower abdomen and perineal pain with intermittent hemospermia for two weeks was admitted to the hospital. Myocardial ischemia was indicated by electrocardiographic examination, and the patient receivedShenxiong glucose injection (100 mL, ivgtt) for improving myocardial ischemia. Ten minutes after the infusion, the patient developed chest tightness, dyspnea, throat itching, the respiration was 24 times per minute, the heart rate was 112 times per minute and the blood pressure was as low as 76/42 mm Hg, which was considered as anaphylactic shock. TheShenxiong glucose injection was stopped immediately. The patient was treated with 5% glucose injection (500 mL, ivgtt), dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection (5 mg, iv), adrenaline hydrochloride injection (0.5 mg, im) and oxygen therapy (4 L·min-1). After 30 minutes, all of the symptoms mentioned disappeared.
