Effect of pharmaceutical care by the clinical pharmacist on the treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B by entecavir

Abstract:Objective: To study the effect of the implementation of pharmaceutical care on patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods:The liver disease inpatients and outpatients with chronic HBV infection who had indications for antiviral treatment were selected, persistent pharmaceutical cares were carried out on the chronic HBV patients taking entecavir, the observation index in the beginning, 3 months and 6 months after pharmaceutical care was statistically analyzed.Results:The treatment completion rate of entecavir was 95.8%. After six months, ALT (39.60 ± 24.62)IU·L-1, AST (45.46 ± 31.37)IU·L-1, HBV DNA (2.84 ± 0.55) and Child-Pugh score (6.57 ± 1.65) had statistically signiifcant differences (P < 0.05) compared with the beginning of intervention. Compared with 3 months, part indexes had obvious improvement. Quality of life signiifcantly improved. There were statistically signiifcant differences before and after the implementation of pharmaceutical care (P < 0.01).Conclusion:The sustainable implementation of pharmaceutical care in patients with chronic HBV was effective, which can improve the medication compliance and the curative effect.
