Abstract:Objective:To analyze the marginal utility on medication in perioperative planned cesarean section patients with three years of continued antibacterial intervention. Methods:Each 100 planned cesarean section patients were selected before (January to March in 2011) and after (January to March in 2014) three years of continued antibacterial intervention respectively, so as to evaluate the average cost of medicine, usage amount of non-antibacterial and rationality, etc. Results:The average drug cost of planned caesarean patient was 1 183.43 yuan and 1 279.23 yuan before and after the three years of continued antibacterial intervention, respectively. The growth rate was 8.10%. While, the average cost of the expensive and non-antibacterial drugs was 294.46 yuan and 982.81 yuan with the growth rate of 233.77%, and the use frequencies of expensive and non-antibacterial drugs were 236 cases and 863 cases with the growth rate of 265.68% before and after the antibacterial intervention. Conclusion:Three years of continued antibacterial intervention produced little impact on the average cost of the total drugs, but made remarkable impact on the average cost and the total frequency of the use of expensive and non-antibacterial drugs, the marginal utility was increasing.
