Analysis on the application of narcotic drugs in our hospital from 2011 to 2013

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the application and tendency of narcotic drugs in our hospital and provide reference for rational drug use in clinic.Methods:The application of narcotic drugs in our hospital from 2011 to 2013 was analyzed retrospectively. The DDDs and the daily drug cost (DDC) were calculated by deifned daily dose (DDD) recommended by WHO, and the ratio of the ranked number of the sales amount of drug (B) and the ranked number of DDDs (A) was analyzed. The use frequency of narcotic drugs, the average daily cost of patients with narcotic drugs, whether the amount of drugs use and the number of people using the narcotic drugs synchronized or not were analyzed.Results:There were 4454 prescriptions of narcotic drugs involving 10 varieties and 5 kinds of dosage forms. The amount of sales decreased from 164 600 yuan in 2011 to 97 500 yuan in 2013 with declining trend. In addition, the DDDs of oxycodone hydrochloride injection, bucinnazine hydrochloride injection increased year by year and the DDDs of platycodon tablets, fentanyl citrate injection and sufentanil citrate injection showed slight lfuctuations, while the DDDs of the other drugs showed a declining trend year by year. In addition to the DDC of morphine sulfate sustained-release tablets had a greater volatility, the DDC of codeine phosphate tablets and platycodon tablets showed slightly higher in 2013, the DDC of oxycodone hydrochloride prolonged-release tablets had slightly higher in 2011, the DDC of the other six species of narcotic drugs had not signiifcant change.Conclusion:Strengthening the management of narcotic drugs, standardizing clinical practice behavior, and the active intervention of pharmacists played a positive and effective role in the rational use and standardized management of narcotic drugs.
