Effect of linezolid on the apoptosis of human plateletin vitro

Abstract：Objective: To study the effect of linezolid on the apoptosis of human platelet.Methods:Two-step centrifugation was used for platelet enrichment and puriifcation. LDH concentration in the supernatant was determined by ELISA, phosphatidylserine (PS) exposure by Annexin V-binding, and the activation of Caspase-3 by colorimetry.Results:Four hours exposure to linezolid triggered Annexin V-binding, activated Caspase-3 in dose dependent manner. Linezolid 150 μg·mL-1·4 h-1can stimulate the release of LDH.Conclusion:Linezolid can induce the apoptosis of human platelet.
