Patent protection and market prospect of emtricitabine and tenofovir

Abstract：This paper analyzed Chinese patent situations of nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor emtricitabine, tenofovir and their compound preparation for AIDS treatment from 1992-2013, based on CPRSABS database. Some protective strategy of patent early warning and corresponding suggestions were provided for the domestic companies and research institutions in order to protect patent and research drug more effectively, grasp clinical trend accurately and win the market.
