Abstract:Objective:To investigate the relationship between genetic polymorphisms of CYP3A and susceptibility to cyclosporine nephrotoxicity in Chinese heart transplant recipients. Methods: Genetic polymorphisms of CYP3A in 66 heart transplant recipients with or without nephrotoxicity (20:46) after immunosuppressive therapy were analyzed by MassARRAY. The relationship between the genotypes of CYP3A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and cyclosporine nephrotoxicity was analyzed by the univariate and non-conditional binary Logistic regression. Results: There was no significant difference in the frequency of alleles in 8 tags of CYP3A between nephrotoxicity group and non-nephrotoxicity group. Moreover, no statistically significant difference in CYP3A genotypes was found between two groups. Conclusion: There was no significant relativity between tags of CYP3A and CsA nephrotoxicity in the heart transplant recipients in this survey.
