Drug utilization analysis on the immunoenhancers of a first-class hospital from 2010 to 2012

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the drug use on immunoenhancers in a first-class hospital from 2010 to 2012 for providing the reference in clinic. Methods:Data of immunoenhancers used from 2010 to 2012 were collected through the network information system database and analyzed by DDDs analysis and consumption ordering method. Results:The consumption sum of immunoenhancers revealed an increased tendency from 2010 to 2012, the annual growth rate was 19.26%and 22.60%respectively. Consumption sum of biological agents occupied the largest proportion of the overall medication. Meanwhile, the consumption sum of microbial agents reduced year by year, while the consumption sum of herbal medicine increased. Conclusion:As adjuvant drugs, immunoenhancers were widely used in clinic and there were unreasonable applications of them. We should strengthen the force of supervision in order to improve the rational use of immunoenhancers.
