Adverse reaction caused by combination use of low molecular dextran and furosemide

Abstract:A 41-year-old female patient received intravenous infusion of low molecular dextran injection 250 mL and furosemide injection 40 mg once daily for nephrotic syndrome. About 8 minutes later, the patient suddenly developed sick, vomiting, abdominal pain, sweating, depression with blood pressure of 95/70 mm Hg, heart rate of 90-95 beats per minute. Then the infusion was stopped immediately, and the patient was given promethazine injection (12.5 mg, im), dexamethasone injection (5 mg, iv) as well as omeprazole injection (60 mg, iv). About 20 minutes later, the patient presented with the blood pressure of 120/80 mm Hg, the temperature of 39.5 ℃, ague. Then the patient was given physical cooling, bupleurum injection 4 mL and urethral catheterization. One hour later, abdominal pain relieved, and the sick, vomitting disappeared. After 3 hours of comprehensive treatment, the patient's condition became stable gradually.
