Postural hypotension and tachycardia caused by paclitaxel for injection (albumin bound)

Abstract:One 62-year-old male patient with lung cancer received the chemotherapy of paclitaxel for injection (albumin bound) 400 mg, d1+cisplatin for injection (70 mg, d1-2), as well as assistance of Kanglaite injection. Thirty minutes after receiving the intravenous infusion of paclitaxel for injection (albumin bound), the patient developed pale, asthma, dizziness and amaurosis with blood pressure of 77/39 mm Hg, heart rate of 152 beats per minute. The patient was given low-lfow oxygen inhalation, bed rest, metoprolol tartrate tablets 12.5 mg, creatine phosphate sodium for injection 1 g+0.9%sodium chloride injection 100 mL. One hour later, blood pressure of the patient gradually returned to normal. Heart rate also recovered 10 hours later. In addition, these symptoms did not recur after reuse of cisplatin for injection the next day.
