Abstract:Objective:To explore and evaluate the abnormally elevated transaminase caused by atorvastatin in hospitalized patients with the inpatient's active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events. Methods:The retrospective analysis method was used for evaluating abnormally elevated transaminases in the hospitalized patients taking atorvastatin calcium from April 1, 2013 to June 1, 2013 in our hospital. Results: A total of 1181 hospitalized patients (1215 cases) were screened, and 982 cases were excluded according to the exclusion criteria, 233 actual cases were evaluated, including 160 male patients and 73 female patients. About 26 cases were warned by the ADE monitor and assessment system. By clinical pharmacists manual veriifcation, the actual positive cases were 17 cases, the positive warning rate was 65.38%, the actual positive rate was 7.30%. Among 233 cases, most of the patients (224 cases) were over 40 years old, the daily dose of 202 cases was 20 mg. Conclusion:The inpatient's active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events can be effective for early warning of abnormally elevated transaminase caused by atorvastatin and can be the work assistant of clinical pharmacists.
