The active surveillance of anemia caused by gemcitabine

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the regularity of anemia caused by gemcitabine with inpatient's active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events. Methods:Hospitalized patients in our hospital from January to March in 2013 were extracted, event configuration parameters for monitoring anemia caused by gemcitabine were set, and positive warning rate, incidence rate of adverse reactions and related factors associated with anemia caused by gemcitabine were analyzed. Results:Positive warning rate was 94.74%, incidence rate of anemia caused by gemcitabine was 25.53%. There was no signiifcant difference in incidence of anemia caused by gemcitabine between gender and age in this study. Conclusion: The active surveillance of anemia caused by chemotherapy can be realized by inpatient's active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events with high accuracy, which can realize early prevention and reduce the risk of clinical medication, it has a good application prospect.
